the disneyland trip when mom woke us up and asked if we wanted to go to school or disneyland?


i remember sleeping in those old wooden bunk beds mary and i were sharing at the time and still half asleep hearing mary say, "school." what a sarcastic little fireball... or did you really want to go to school?
also, mary and i (although especially me) had some awesome fashions going on... were vests super in style or something?

i realize this picture is really blurry, but i love it anyway. for some reason this is how i picture mom when i think of her. perhaps because this was always my favorite hair style? maybe because i was at the age when your mom was your whole world and so this is how she has always been in my mind? i don't know... but i just think she looks so beautiful and so happy. isn't this from mame and pop's 50th anniversary? there have got to be more pictures of mom from this day, but for some reason this is the one dad had...
